Hey, welcome back y’all to ForOneBuck.com! Again I gotta apologize for the delays in entries but I think I should be better at this whole time-management thing now.
I think this is a perfect time, too, to revisit one of my favorite video games, Rock Band. I love rock music, pretty much anything with a good bassline, crazy drums, and especially rippin’ guitars. I’m just like Jack Black in School of Rock…well, his character’s (and I suspect his, based on his work with Tenacious D and the new game Brütal Legend) feelings toward music, anyway. I can’t play like that, that’s for sure.
Although I’ve never really been a “Beatles fan” (your question “how can you be a rock fan and not a Beatles fan?!?!?”…I never listened to any of their music…and it was always a little on the slow side for me), I gotta say, this might be my favorite set of Rock Band songs ever. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not super-stoked that you can’t play your own character (I really loved that about Rock Band) and that there’s no changing of your instruments’ appearance. However, the songs in Beatles Rock Band are so much fun to play—you just can’t help but smile when playing Yellow Submarine or Octopus’ Garden. On a side note “overdrive” is called “Beatlemania” for this game…see? Just fun!
Here’s your chance to get a copy of Beatles Rock Band for your console of choice (Xbox 360, Wii, or PS3)—I recommend you get a fresh email address for this offer, since you never know what they’ll send ya.
